Following a recent safety review, both Nottingham Forest and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club will be charged new annual fees of £8,350 and £2,350, respectively.
The fees, which were initially discussed in a closed-door meeting with councillors on October 14, have now been confirmed by Rushcliffe Borough Council. Geoff Carpenter, head of service for public protection at the council, stated: “The appropriate fee has always been charged to these premises. There is a significant amount of work involved in ensuring the safety of these events, and that comes at a cost to the council.”
