Brighton are interested in Salernitana’s Loum Tchaouna, who is expected to depart the club after being relegated from Serie A.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Brighton is in the running for the 20-year-old, who is worth €15 million.
According to the newspaper, Salernitana expects a hectic summer of outgoings as they prepare to drop into Serie B, with Tchaouna among those who could leave.
He is considered the’most attractive footballer’ in the current squad and has a growing list of suitors, including Brighton, Lazio, and Stuttgart.
Tchaouna is one of the few players on the team who hasn’t disappointed this season, with three goals and four assists in 28 games, which suggests clubs may be prepared to spend for him.
He also fits perfectly into Brighton’s concept of developing younger players, and a fee of €15 million or so is not out of reach for them.
Their interest has surfaced this week, with a story yesterday listing them among the player’s supporters and stating a cheap €8-10 million deal could be conceivable this summer.
He appears to fit nicely into their strategy, fueling speculation that Brighton may relocate in the next weeks and months.
