Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a potential transfer for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, who has impressed in the Premier League this season.
The 21-year-old former Manchester City youngster is well-known to Enzo Maresca and other key figures at Stamford Bridge, making him a possible target, according to journalist Simon Phillips.
Delap, now making a name for himself after previous loan spells in the Championship, has drawn interest from Chelsea following his struggles to get playing time at Man City. The Blues have had success with similar transfers, such as signing Cole Palmer from City, who has since become a star for Chelsea and a full England international.
Although Delap has impressed, Chelsea’s interest in a striker may depend on other factors, including the form of Nicolas Jackson, who has shown improvement this season. Christopher Nkunku is also expected to play a significant role after overcoming injuries.
