We are happy to report that Manager Unai Emery and Aston Villa have reached an agreement on a new five-year deal.
For the first time in Club history, the Spaniard led the team to a fourth-place Premier League result the previous season, securing Champions League football.
Unai brought European football back to Villa for the first time in 13 years, completely turning around the Club’s fortunes since his arrival in 2022. During his first season in charge, the team went from 17th to 7th in the table.
“We are creating something special here at Aston Villa with Unai at its core, and we are delighted that he has signed a new deal with the club until 2029,” stated chairman Nassef Sawiris.
“With Unai leading the way, we have a lot to look forward to as we enter our historic 150th anniversary year.”
“I’m thrilled to take this step and the responsibility of leading this club,” Unai declared.
“Since arriving at Villa with Wes and Nassef, we have consistently discovered the ideal setting and framework for creating projects of the greatest caliber.
We all have the same vision and objectives for the football structure, including Damian, Monchi, and the owners.
The camaraderie within Aston Villa is excellent. Additionally, the support of the fans plays a crucial role in making the place feel like home. We can’t wait to keep traveling and pursue our goals without boundaries.
