Ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, Ricciardo, 35, told the media that he would not be able to provide an update on his future until after the weekend. However, there have been rumors that he may be replaced at the team before the end of 2024.

When asked if his performance at the Marina Bay Street Circuit may affect his chances of keeping the car for the next six races of the season, Ricciardo said, “I actually heard something that I won’t be in the car for this race as well! That came after this year’s Japan or something similar.
“Look, I understand how things are and operate, and I was aware that this year—be it summer break or the current post-Singapore period—would inevitably involve certain dates and deadlines. To be honest, a lot of things are still unclear. Watch how the weekend unfolds.
