January will see Norwich City try to bolster their roster even more as Johannes Hoff Thorup continues to leave his imprint at Carrow Road.
Thorup was backed by Norwich City in the summer, and the Dane was able to spend big money on some new players in Norfolk thanks to a number of noteworthy player sales.

Stars like Jonathan Rowe and Gabriel Sara’s departures were heartbreaking, but it’s anticipated that players like Ante Crnac, Amankwah Forson, and Oscar Schwartau may grow into significant assets at Carrow Road.

Even with the summertime activities, January will see some additions. There will undoubtedly be chances to make some cunning deals as well, and Bright Osayi-Samuel of Fenerbahce appears to be one player the Championship team is keeping an eye on.
Since leaving QPR, he has made an impression in Turkey, and his contract expires in the summer. But even though the 26-year-old would be a thrilling addition, Norwich City doesn’t really need him.
A bright future at right back
On these shores, Osayi-Samuel might be known as a quick, devious winger. With Fenerbahce, he has shifted to a position further back on the field, first as a wing-back before being deployed as an all-purpose right-back with the ability to play forward.
That starting spot at Norwich City may not be available for a while.

Although he was a little-known prospect when he signed from Bromley last summer, Kellen Fisher earned some playing time last season, making 14 senior appearances mostly as Jack Stacey’s backup. However, Fisher has already outplayed his more seasoned opponent in the opening games of the new season thanks to some outstanding defensive performances.
The 20-year-old has established himself as a strong favorite after demonstrating a love of defense. In the short and medium terms, it would be shocking if Thorup decided to remove him from the starting lineup because he appears to be a fantastic prospect.
One motive for the Osayi-Samuel arrangement
To sign Osayi-Samuel and assign him to the right-back position he is used to would not be a wise commercial decision for Norwich City. It would probably push out the rapidly improving Fisher and create a slight overcrowding in the ranks.
One exception, though, would be if Thorup intended to use him to put Osayi-Samuel back in his old position on the right. A agreement then seems more reasonable.
The Nigerian would have a decent chance of securing a starting position farther up the pitch, even though the Canaries have a fair number of wingers and versatile attacking players who can operate out wide.
Maybe for that reason, Norwich City has reportedly expressed interest in Fisher; nevertheless, with Fisher developing and Stacey providing competition, experience, and cover, a new right-back is not required.
