Odell Beckham Jr., a seasoned wide receiver, will be able to make his season debut on Sunday against New England after the Miami Dolphins activated him from the physically unable to perform list on Saturday.
Beckham signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins in May, but he had to miss the team’s first four games because of an offseason “small cleanup” on his knee.
He said that although he made the greatest choice for the team, he was not the one who ended up on the PUP list.
“Because I’m taking up a roster spot if I’m not on the PUP list, which means I’m taking someone else’s job and I’m not doing anything,” Beckham added, “for me it was a selfless act.” It’s not a very pleasant sensation to experience.
On Thursday, he had his first workout with the goal of getting ready for action and bolstering Miami’s faltering attack.

With 187.3 passing yards and 97.8 running yards per game, the Dolphins have the lowest scoring average in the NFL with 11.3 points per contest. Due to injury, four different quarterbacks have made appearances.
It was tough for three-time Pro Bowler and Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl champion Beckham to see the Dolphins struggle from the sidelines.
In contrast to where we are now and feeling like I should have been out there fighting with them win, loss, or draw, Beckham stated, “I would have preferred us to be 4-0 right now and then I’d feel like, ‘Oh, I can’t wait to get in.”
McDaniel stated on Friday, “Watching him work within the offense was exciting.” “He looked excellent and performed well yesterday. However, as a third-year head coach, I control my enthusiasm. After a short workload, I try to check how he feels and looks before taking team responsibility.
