Reading fc Boss in few words describes how the future will be for reading players..

Reading FC manager Ruben Selles expressed his confidence in the likelihood of the first-team players whose contracts are set to expire this summer choosing to stay with the club. He noted that among those players are Joel Periera, Femi Azeez, Clinton Mola, Jeriel Dorsett, Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, Sam Hutchinson, and Tivonge Rushesha. Despite the looming contract expirations, Selles remained unperturbed, citing the club’s ability to extend deals for several of these players. He assured, “I’m not concerned about retaining the players whose contracts are expiring. I believe we’ll be able to retain them all. We’ve had discussions, particularly with those who have an option for renewal in their contracts.” Selles mentioned that there is only one player without such an option, but discussions are underway to extend their contract.

Looking ahead to the next season, Selles acknowledged the need for planning but acknowledged the limitations imposed by an ongoing takeover process. He explained, “We’re already preparing for the next phase, but there’s only so much we can do until the takeover is finalized.” Selles emphasized the importance of strong support for the team’s progress, stating, “We can’t progress without robust support and addressing the challenges we faced this season. Our next level of success will heavily depend on the support we receive.” Reflecting on his growth as a coach, Selles remarked, “I feel I’ve improved as a coach since starting this job. You never anticipate the challenges of a season like this when you first take on a role.”
