A former Sheffield Wednesday player, Adam Reach, is currently in limbo regarding his next potential transfer. Reach, 31, was released by West Brom at the end of last season after a three-year stint with the club. Previously, he joined Sheffield Wednesday from Middlesbrough in a £5 million deal in 2016, where he made 230 appearances, scoring 24 goals and assisting 34.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Reach was on trial with Swansea City. Despite this, he remains a free agent. Swansea boss Luke Williams has indicated there’s still a chance Reach could be offered a deal, along with Cyrus Christie, who is also on trial with the club. However, no firm decisions have been made yet.
Reach has opened up about the challenges of being without a club, expressing his willingness to consider offers from almost anywhere, despite his extensive experience in the Championship. During his three years at West Brom, he made 79 appearances, scoring two goals and assisting four, but struggled to hold a regular starting place.
As he waits for his next opportunity, Reach remains hopeful for a new chapter in his football career.
